Florence Delva

Florence Delva’s practice of photography goes back to around 25 years. She was born and raised in France where she studied photography and completed a master’s degree in communication arts and medias. She worked in Paris for more than 15 years as art director, photo producer and fine art photographer. Known for her ethereal macro photographs of botanical and natural elements, the artist has since turned her lens to urban and landscape environments. The result is delicate abstracted photographic compositions of her travels Florence’s search is to catch unique moments in time and space to imprint the impalpable ephemeral instant and propose it as a pretext to escape. It is an invitation to a suspended flight that makes one slip into a parallel world, in which visible and invisible are merged. Her images evoke enigmatic emotions between real and unreal, abstraction and representation.
