Gensler is known for adapting to the goals and context of each individual project it takes on—and out of this research comes of-the-moment design.
Drawing from this ethos, longstanding Chicago glass manufacturer, Skyline Design, launches two avant new patterns in collaboration with Gensler, serving as product design consultant, to create the Matrix decorative glass collection. The new Matrix collection is being presented in context with patterns previously created with Gensler as consultant, comprising an informal grouping kicking off The Best of Skyline series.
Pointing to the vital product design ethics of review and reinvention, The Best of Skyline series chooses past collaborations to refresh and re-feature. The Gensler collaborations being brought back to light are made up of eight cherry picked previous designs, plus two ultracool newcomers. This series features Gensler as design consultant collections: G Compendium (2011), Make (2013), Linework (2017), and the latest addition, Matrix (2024).
This collection will be available on architectural glass and glass wall art via Skyline Design as well as via Skyline Film Studio through Decorative Films.
