Kevin Appel (b. 1967, United States) is a Los Angeles-based artist who explores the relationships between photography, painting, and architecture. Appel creates complex correlations between mechanically and manually rendered images by painting on top of either found images or self-produced photographs. Appel is a graduate of Parsons School of Design (New York) and UCLA.
